Long work hours high cost of living

Also, if western medicine isn’t helping, try eastern medicine. At 42, I went for a colonoscopy and am now considered high risk due to the findings. My symptoms didn’t stop after the colonoscopy. The gastroenterologist simply said add more fiber and increase water intake. I decided to go to an acupuncturist, and after whole food supplements, my symptoms are almost totally gone.

I LOVE that this segment is addressing things not generally discussed. I am 51, a health nut since age 12, exercise a lot and since 2012 have a basically whole foods diet (granted with a lot of cheating in restaurants and I love a steak) I also have a family history of colon cancer. I went through my first colonoscopy 1.5 years ago and the doctors told me I should've started getting them at 40. They found one precancerous polyp and the doctor couldn't hide her surprise, she said I was too young to have a polyp that long. In my latest colonoscopy they found another four precancerous polyps. I decided to rehaul my diet ("pegan" diet and little to no red meat) but also address what is said in this segment: Sleep is HUGE (I have apnea and bad sleeping habits), stress reduction, emotional regulation and less worrying. Take care of those! Notice that in our reductionist society, we talk about the "Mediterranean diet" as the best diet. Sure, the diet is a good start, but it is also part of a culture of community, happy living, TONS of walking and incidental physical activities, and a slower clock to live by. I wish you all health and a happy life!

These cancers are caused by another kind of cancer that spreads in our society: Capitalism.

I think mostly the food of „food” people put into their bodies! It is not red meat, not particularly alcohol (unless it is being in abusive amount) but the processed food that has been pushed on the shelves of the supermarkets… When we were children there were maybe 2-3 children with a slight overweight out of 36-38 in our class. Now look how many children are obese! It is the food that makes them fat! Gmo, ultraprocessed food! Incredible! So stop buying food that contains E- substances. Start preparing your own meals from scratch. Avoid artificial coloring ingrediends, saturated fat, and conservants! Go back to basics!

Mostly because people don't care. If you read the comments of medical studies videos about how a study found a substance in a specific food to be cancerous, the comments general tend to be in the lines of "everything gives us cancer, i'd rather eat it then have to worry about every single ting that gives us cancer."
